Bleary Eyed Day 3

Last night was a rough one but we managed to make it through. Heather was a trooper. We are still learning the ropes and finding out what works and what doesn't. People keep telling us that it gets easier...fingers crossed!

Hazel's Homecoming...

Hazel came home today and finally met her older (hairy) sister - Zoe. Zoe was very curious of the various noises that Hazel makes and of her newborn baby smell.

Mom and baby are doing well with the breast feeding. Heather's milk has come in and Hazel is loving it! We're hoping that she'll soon grow big and strong.

It's Baby Hazel Mae's Birthday!!

Hazel Mae Silva was born on August 27th at 6:51 am in Santa Barbara, CA (Cottage Hospital). Her mommy (Heather) had a natural birth and showed tremendous strength throughout the 12 hour long labor. Heather's athletic body and previous conditioning helped her cope with the mental and physical challenges of labor. Proud papa is joyful beyond words of his beautiful little girl!
